Each year CCV provides a crew training class for aspiring sailors using a two-tiered approach. First, students learn the basics required of all crew members in a series of five Tuesday night classes which run from 6:30 – 8:30 P.M.. Then, on Wednesdays, the class coordinators will place students on different boats to practice those newly learned skills during the Wednesday night practice races. The show time on Wednesdays is 5:15 P.M.
The class begins on May 15, 2012 and the fee is $85. This fee pays for the instruction, class materials, CCV Club Membership, and a CCV Book.
This is a great opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people, break into the sport of sailboat racing and most importantly…have FUN!
The classes will be held at the Hampton Yacht Club, 4707 Victoria Blvd (Map) in Hampton.
